Indian dancer, 16, breaks world record by doing kathak for five days straight

A 16-year-old Indian dancer who completed an outstanding five-day dance marathon has inscribed her name into the Guinness World Records in a remarkable demonstration of talent and tenacity.

Srushti Sudhir Jagtap enthralled both the judges and the audience with her steadfast devotion to the Indian dance style Kathak and her desire to advance Indian culture via her work.

According to a GWR blog, Srushti began her incredible adventure on the morning of May 29, dancing nonstop for an astounding 127 hours straight until June 3. She stated in a conversation with GWR that it has always been her “dream to represent India through dance.”

She had undergone months of tough training, involving guided meditation, extensive dance practise, and supplemental exercises. Srushti followed all of the stringent requirements established by Guinness World Records throughout the dancing marathon.

For every continuous hour of work, she was given a five-minute rest break, giving her an opportunity to refuel. She used these respite periods, which were typically taken at midnight, to sleep, eat, and stay in touch with her parents.

GWR Official Adjudicator Swapnil Dangarikar, who saw Srushti’s spectacular feat firsthand, attentively supervised the entire endeavour. The judge was impressed by her commitment, talent, and fortitude, which cemented her place in history.
